Flying Pig paper animation kits come in an assortment of jazzy, expressive characters that are sure to generate a chuckle from house guests.  For just £3.75, you can get any paper animation kit, and the shipping is just £2.95 to anywhere in the world.  Flying Pig paper animation kits resemble origami only slightly; fold-able paper is used as the primary material out of which the characters are assembled, but origami does not use PVC glue.  Furthermore, the individual pieces of paper are stowed away in a booklet that comes with each product you order from Flying Pig.  Instead of folding a single piece of paper, as in origami, the separate pieces are attached (according to easy instructions).  The conceptual constructive method resembles Legos and other toys sold in the genre of "fun assembly".  There are overtones of model car and plane construction too.  There's even the flavor of origami, as mentioned above.

These make great gifts because they're so cheap and original.  You can get a different character for each friend you have, and you could still feel good about the money in savings afterward.  Contrary to what you might think, these toys are not stagnant.  A paper hand-crank on most of the designs ensures they move funnily.  For example, the Flying Pig goes back and forth in the air, and Jolly Roger even peeks his head out of the barrel when the crank is turned.  The Skiing Sheep goes left and right too.  These quirky toys are the best use of paper ever.
